The tour not only met my expectations, it exceeded expectation. From the depth of knowledge shared to the care taken in storytelling, engagement, and connection to place, the experience was both enriching and inspiring. I appreciated how the journey honoured history, culture, and lived experience while remaining engaging, thoughtful, and authentic. It felt intentional, well-curated, and grounded, leaving me with a deeper understanding and a genuine sense of connection to Chichen Itzá that I will carry forward. Our bus driver was outstanding, friendly, patient, and highly professional throughout the journey. He ensured everyone felt safe, welcomed, and well looked after, while also keeping the trip smooth and well-timed. Their calm manner, clear communication, and positive attitude added greatly to the overall experience. We truly appreciated the care and respect shown to all passengers. Arturo and Paul were truly exceptional, tour guides extraordinaire in every sense. Our tour guide Hugo was excellent; entertaining and well spoken. Left at 6:30am, arrived back at 7:30pm, 13 hours. Pick up & drop off were helpful. Each stop had enough time.
Chichen Itza was georgeous, busy with tourists and still worthwhile. Separately paid the entrance fee in cash (Mexican pesos).
Souveniers were available, but our first stop they were quite expensive. Cheaper around Chichen Itza site.
Cenote swim required you pay for a life jacket.
Be sure to bring extra cash (mexican pesos or American dollars). Suggest tipping the tour guide + driver.★

Amazing excursion! Chichen Itza was a marvel, masterfully explained by Raul and his assistant Estrella! Delicious lunch with cochinita pibil, a paprika-marinated pig cooked underground, tender meat seasoned to taste with spicy habanero salsa, guacamole, and vegetables! House drink of fresh fruit! A visit to the Mayan handicraft market! A cleansing ritual with the Mayan shaman, then we moved on to a lovely refreshing stop with a few dips in the cenote, a drink at the bar, and finally a tour of Valladolid with its church and colorful town, a delicious tequila tasting, and return to the hotel! Raul was truly professional, motivating, and entertained us wonderfully with stories, anecdotes, and illustrations about Mexico and Mayan culture. The long hours of travel were not a burden at all; on the contrary, it was a beautiful, albeit concise, lesson on Mexico! I hope to do more like this! Congratulations!
