Madeira: Fanal Forest and Cabo Girão for Cruise Ship

Fanal Park: fairytale forest

we will head to Fanal and thus to the "magic forest" of Madeira. It seems straight out of a storybook. Walk among (hopefully misty) strangely shaped trees and keep your eyes peeled for the famous cows that sometimes appear out of nowhere in the mystical mist.

Ribeira da Janela: picturesque village

Our journey continues to Ribeira da Janela. The highlight here is the impressive rock that rises from the sea and has an opening that resembles a window.

São Vicente Bell Tower Viewpoint

Our next stop is São Vicente, our favourite place in the north. Here we go up a few steps to the famous church tower. A great photo motif and an even greater view from up there, because from here you have a unique perspective on the rugged charm of the island.

Cabo Girão Skywalk: thrilling heights

Next, we head up high to the famous Cabo Girão Skywalk, a glass viewpoint that offers breathtaking views from dizzying heights. At 580 meters high, Cabo Girão is one of the highest capes in Europe. Keep cameras ready (and tight)!
