At 9:00 a.m., we will meet at Antonio Raimondi Avenue to begin a complete tour of Iquitos. We will explore the main attractions of this city on the banks of the Amazon River and its rich history.
We will tour the historic center, admiring mansions decorated with European tiles from the rubber era of the 19th century. We will visit the Iron House, designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Museum of Amazonian Indigenous Cultures, where we will see handicrafts and objects from various local ethnic groups.
We will continue with a visit to the Belen market, where we will experience the vibrant local life and the variety of products available.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a free hour for lunch at a restaurant. Afterwards, we will take a minibus to the outskirts of the city to visit a manatee rescue center and learn about the conservation work of these aquatic mammals.
The last stop will be at the Quistococha Zoo, where we will have a close look at various Amazonian species such as jaguars, monkeys and macaws.
We will finish the excursion at 17:00 at the starting point.
