Itinerary
At the appointed time, we will meet at the Iquitos pier to begin our tour of the Belen neighborhood on the banks of the Itaya River. We will board a typical boat, the best way to explore the Amazonian Venice.
First we will visit the Belen market, ideal to learn about the gastronomic customs and daily life of the neighborhood. We will sail among the floating wooden houses built on pillars, an amazing sight!
We will discover how Bethlehem is flooded during the rainy season and how its inhabitants move in boats and canoes to transport food and materials.
If you are interested, we can add a visit to an area famous for piranha fishing. You can decide on the same day of the excursion.
After three hours of navigation on the Itaya River, we will return to the starting point, concluding our visit to the neighborhood of Belen.
