Tour of Salinas and Yanaorco lagoons + Lojen thermal baths

Itinerary
At 6:00 a.m. we will leave from your hotel or from San Agustin street and start our trip by road. Along the way we will make a stop in the town of Mariano Melgar so you can have breakfast on your own.

We will then reach the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to the Misti, Pichu Pichu and Chachani volcanoes. Accompanied by the view of these imposing craters, we will arrive at the Salinas Lagoon, which will surprise you with its wetlands and salt beaches.

Nearby we will be able to see the endemic fauna, including llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and flamingos, as well as other species of migratory birds. We will also visit the Moche salt flat, where we will take the opportunity to play with perspective and take some beautiful photographs.

Our next stop will be at the thermal baths of Lojen, where we will give you free time to relax and immerse yourself in its medicinal waters, which have a temperature of between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius.

Afterwards, we will go to the San José de Uzuña dam, a great work of civil engineering in which the Yanaorco lagoon is located. Here you will also have free time to have lunch, explore the area and take a kayak ride.

Finally, we will return to Arequipa and drop you off at your hotel in downtown Arequipa or at the main square between 4:30 and 5:00 pm.

The tour includes pick up from hotels in downtown Arequipa. If your accommodation is outside this area, we will contact you to arrange an alternative meeting point.
