Humantay Lagoon

The day begins at 4:30 am with hotel pick-up in Cusco. After a 3-hour journey to Soraypampa, we commence an uphill hike along the "Camino Real." Along the trek, we revel in views of the Salkantay mountain and Humantay peak.

Upon reaching Lake Humantay, surrounded by peaks and glaciers, shamans and others who follow traditional Andean beliefs often offer blessings upon reaching the crystalline waters of Lake Humantay. After relaxing by the lake, we descend to Soraypampa for a lunch with panoramic views before returning to Cusco around 5 p.m.
