Day 1: Humantay lake - extreme columpio
We will leave the City of Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., to then travel by private transport to the town of Mollepata, through the valley of the Apurímac river. In this town we will serve a delicious breakfast in the restaurant La Casona, a beautiful 18th century mansion, where a lot of history is kept.
We will continue the trip on the way to Soraypampa, a beautiful place surrounded by different snow-capped and glaciers, at this point for all who wish to experience the most extreme and giant swing in Peru, and the second in South America, you will live a unique sensation where you will feel the adrenaline in all its splendor. Here we will also plant a tree, in this way we will contribute to the environment.
Then we will continue our ascent for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, reaching 4,300 meters above sea level. We will arrive at the Humantay Lagoon, where we will contemplate this natural beauty of turquoise color in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
Then we will return to Soraypampa to take our private transport back to Mollepata; We will stop again at the La Casona restaurant for a buffet lunch and then our guide will explain about the existing cultural pieces in the place and the mountaineering teams that climbed the Salkantay and Humantay snow-capped mountains from the 1950s onwards.
On the way back to Cusco, we will stop in Limatambo to visit the Hacienda Sondor House Museum, where you will be able to appreciate a lot of living history.
We will be arriving in the city of Cusco between 6 to 7 pm.
