This experience was incredibly worth it. This tour includes transport, a guided tour of the ruins, and lunch. The transportation includes 2-3 hours each way (about 5 hours total) on increasingly jungly roads, some unpacked. Our driver was a trooper! We were conveniently picked up at Casa Ka’an where we had slept the night before. Our guide, Ezequial, was phenomenal. Extremely knowledgeable, he set a good pace for us and taught us much about the ruins, the nature, and the Maya. We had a nice picnic all together after exploring 3 temples for about 2.5 hours. It was an excellent choice, would recommend!

Berenice was one of the best guides we have ever had. She was knowledgeable and had a flare for building an understanding of the Maya at Edzna as we progressed through the site. She really brought the site to life and demonstrated a depth of understanding that is rare. Her passion and excitement about Edzna and Mayan culture is apparent throughout and you can't help but share her enthusiasm as the tour progresses. She personalizes the experience and gets you to imagine living at the time. She also provides a great sense of context. Besides her knowledge and passion, we also have to say that she was just a delightful and thoughtful person. We are older travellers (75+) and she was always aware of our physical limitations without us having to say anything. She simply observed and responded. Above and beyond the tour, we discussed restaurants in Campeche and she dropped us off at one of them, which turned out to be just extraordinary. We also discussed other sites worth visiting. If we are back in Campeche again, Berenice and Chelita Travel would be our choice for another tour. We can't possible recommend them too highly.

I'm giving it 5 stars for the impressive value for money and for the excursion itself. It was one of our best days in Vietnam; we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Yes, they will try to sell you things here and there, but honestly, you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the activities. The only negative point was that our guide was a bit unpleasant, not very friendly, and gave a lot of orders, sometimes in an aggressive manner. I highly recommend it, whether you're with family, as a couple, with friends, or even alone.

It's only about 200 yuan per person. Why would you need a tractor? The trip was excellent.
