Itinerary
Embark on a full-day adventure in New Zealand's Forgotten World. Travel through the ever-changing landscape of rolling hills, remote farmland, and native bush on a rail cart. Then, take a jet boat ride on the Whanganui River.

Check in at the Forgotten World Motel 30 minutes before departure. Take a short shuttle bus to the start of the line at Okahukura. Here, board your rail cart and set off on your journey through the Forgotten World.

Immerse yourself in the ever-changing landscape of rolling hills, remote farmland, and native bush. Experience wildlife close to the tracks as you travel through tunnels and over bridges.

Stop for morning tea in the historic village of Matiere. The rail cart part of your experience will end at Tokirima Station where you'll enjoy a rail-side picnic lunch between your adventures.

Take the shuttle bus to Ohinepane where you'll board your jet boat. Embark on an informative jet boat journey on the Whanganui River and take in the awe-inspiring scenery as you learn about the early settlers and pioneers and importance of the river.

Disembark at Cherry Grove for your return transfer back to the finishing point, the Forgotten World Motel where you'll arrive at approximately 2 PM.
