Wildlife Viewing Tour and Corcovado – Full Day
Experience a full day of adventure on the Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. This tour combines wildlife watching with a guided hike in the La Leona sector of Corcovado National Park, renowned for its abundant animal activity and well-preserved natural environment.
Departure is at 6:00 AM from Puerto Jiménez, traveling by 4WD vehicle with a licensed naturalist guide. Along the way, you will enjoy rural landscapes, tropical rainforest, and views of the Pacific Ocean, while your guide shares information about local biodiversity and ecosystems.
In La Leona, we will go on an easy, mostly flat hike that is ideal for all types of visitors. This area combines primary forest, open areas, and a coastal environment, making it easy to observe wildlife.
It is common to spot all four species of monkeys, as well as sloths, coatis, deer, anteaters, and a wide variety of birds, including toucans, hawks, and scarlet macaws. With a bit of luck, you may also spot felines such as cougars or ocelots. The guide uses binoculars and a telescope to enhance sightings.
At the end of the hike, a traditional Costa Rican lunch is provided around 1:30 p.m.
Depending on the day's logistics, lunch may be served on-site or provided as a boxed lunch to take away.
It is very important that you inform us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or special preferences, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
The tour is conducted in small groups (maximum 6 people) to provide a more authentic, relaxed, and personalized experience.

Important Note
This is one of the best wildlife-watching tours in Corcovado. Stricter regulations in the Sirena sector have reduced sighting opportunities, whereas La Leona retains a more natural environment with greater animal activity, making it an excellent alternative for wildlife enthusiasts.
