Itinerary
From Hanoi: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital – Tam Coc Boat Ride – Mua Cave Day Tour

Hoa Lu, located in Ninh Binh Province, is a picturesque semi-mountainous region rich in natural beauty and historical value. Home to famous landscapes such as Tam Coc – Bich Dong and neighboring the Trang An cave system, this area preserves the legacy of the ancient Hoa Lu Capital, established over 1,000 years ago. Tam Coc is often referred to as the “Ha Long Bay on land” and is recognized as one of Vietnam's key national tourism destinations.

07:00 – 07:30
Our driver and tour guide pick you up from hotels in the Hanoi Old Quarter or at the Hanoi Opera House, then depart for Ninh Binh.

10:30
Arrive in Ninh Binh and visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Vietnam's capital during the 10th century. Explore the temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, and visit the archaeological excavation site near King Le's temple. Enjoy peaceful views of the scenic Truong Yen Valley, surrounded by limestone mountains and lush countryside.

12:30
Relax and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes.

Afternoon
Continue to Tam Coc Eco-Tourism Area. Board a traditional rowing boat and cruise along the Ngo Dong River, passing through spectacular rice fields and towering limestone karsts. During the approximately 2-hour boat trip, explore the three natural caves known as Ca Cave, Hai Cave, and Ba Cave, carved by nature over thousands of years.

Next, visit Mua Cave (Hang Mua). Stroll along winding paths shaded by greenery and decorative stone landscapes before climbing nearly 500 stone steps to the mountain summit. From the top, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the vast Hoa Lu countryside, resembling a timeless ink painting. On the descent, pass by the lotus pond nestled among limestone peaks, creating a poetic and photogenic setting. Traditional costumes are available for rent for those wishing to capture memorable photos.

17:00 – 17:30
Depart Ninh Binh and return to Hanoi.

19:30 – 20:00
Arrive back in Hanoi, marking the end of the tour. We hope to welcome you again on another unforgettable journey!
