Discover the ancient capital of Vietnam on a guided day trip from Hanoi. Visit the temples of Hoa Lu, explore the Mua Cave, and take a boat trip through the Tam Coc caves.

Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Hanoi and head to the Ninh Binh province. Visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and see the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple. Learn about the heroic history of these two kings from the 10th century.

Continue to the Mua Cave and climb the 500 steps to the top of Mua Mountain. From the top, enjoy panoramic views of Hoa Lu. After working up an appetite, stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, take a boat ride on the Hoang Long River to visit the Tam Coc caves. Pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. Witness local fisherfolk, village life along the river, and the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for.

At the end of the tour, return to Hanoi and get dropped off back at your hotel.
