Mauritius has some amazing food, influenced by its Indian, Chinese, and African cultures.

Your experience starts from the Caudan Waterfront.

The first stop is a historical museum to learn about history of the Mauritian people and how this rich cultures influenced the Mauritian cuisine.

Next we walk through the bustling streets of Port Louis to get through the gates of the Chinatown to discover treats derived from Hakka Chinese dishes.

The central market is one of the best places to experience the best Mauritian food. You will find fresh, deep-fried gato pima, or chili bites. Made with soaked split peas, zingy spring onions, and green chilies, these really do pop in your mouth.
Experience something different with some tropical seasonal fruits with an interesting optional fruit sauce.

Along the way, explore the old buildings, and a garden with their amazing trees with hanging roots.

The tour includes about 6-8 different dishes to try.
