Huaraz: Chacas 3 lagoons + Carhuaz

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our tour to Chacas and the Three Lagoons! Enjoy a day full of breathtaking scenery and rich Peruvian culture. We'll start the tour in Chacas, a charming town known for its crafts and ancestral traditions. Here, you'll have the chance to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Then, we'll head to the Three Lagoons, a natural paradise that'll take your breath away. Explore the crystal-clear turquoise waters, surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks. This tour is perfect for photography and nature lovers. Our tour includes expert guides who will share fascinating stories and facts, plus delicious typical meals to recharge your batteries.

ITINERARY:

9:00 am: Departure from the city of Huaraz (3090 masl) heading north to the city of Carhuaz (2638 masl), where we'll enjoy delicious ice cream made from pure milk and natural fruit. From Carhuaz, we'll take the new track that leads to the Conchucos valley. We'll enter the Huascarán National Park to register and make the respective payment.

Our tour continues through the Quebrada Ulta, in the middle of a beautiful valley surrounded by imposing snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Blanca. We'll zig-zag up to the Punta Olímpica tunnel (4736 meters above sea level, 1,384 meters long, considered the highest trans-Andean tunnel in the world). From here, you'll have a beautiful panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains: Huascarán, Chopilcalqui, and Ulta. We'll make a brief stop to take photos and visit the Cancaraca and Yanaraju lagoons.

We'll continue our tour until we reach Chacas (3360 meters above sea level). We'll visit the main square of Chacas, the Church of the Virgin of Asunción (Mama Ashu), and the Don Bosco craft workshops, where you can see their fine wood, textile, clay, and glass works that are exported around the world.
