We begin in Tromsø downtown and drive toward the clearest skies. Depending on the weather, we may travel inland, explore the island of Kvaløya, or even cross the border into Finland. Every evening is unique, and the route is chosen to give you the best chance of experiencing the Northern Lights.

Wherever the journey takes us, we create a welcoming stop with a fire, hot drinks, and a hot meal. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate are always available, and marshmallows are included for roasting over the flames.

On nights with good weather, we often visit our basecamp by Lake Skogsfjordvannet, about an hour from Tromsø. This peaceful location is surrounded by nature and offers a beautiful, open view of the sky—perfect for experiencing the aurora in a quiet setting.

Your guide will be with you throughout the evening to share knowledge, answer questions, and make sure you are comfortable. Professional photos will be taken of you with the Northern Lights, and we are happy to help set up your own camera or phone so you can capture the experience yourself. No technical skills are needed.

At the end of the night, we return you safely to your hotel in Tromsø or to a nearby taxi stop.
