Alanya: Half Day City Tour To Castle With Cable Car & Cave

Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel, followed by a scenic drive to Alanya Terrace, one of the best panoramic spots in the city. Here, we take a short break for photography and to admire the breathtaking view of Alanya from above — a perfect introduction to the day.

Next, we head to the Damlataş area, where you will have free time to choose your own experience. This area is rich in both natural beauty and cultural value.

You may choose to visit the Damlataş Cave, a small but fascinating natural wonder discovered in 1948 during the construction of Alanya's harbor. The cave is famous for its warm, humid air rich in carbon dioxide, which is believed to have therapeutic benefits, especially for asthma patients. Inside, you'll see thousands of years old stalactites and stalagmites. (Entrance fee: 150 TL, payable by credit card only.)

Alternatively, you can walk down to the famous Cleopatra Beach, located just next to the cave. Legend has it that Queen Cleopatra herself once swam here. The beach is known for its fine golden sand and crystal-clear waters — ideal for a swim or just to sit and enjoy the tranquil view of the Mediterranean.

For those interested in shopping, there are small local souvenir stands nearby where you can browse for handmade crafts, magnets, or local treats.

After this relaxing break, we continue with a cable car ride up to Alanya Castle. This panoramic ride offers a stunning view over the city, harbor, and coastline as you ascend the slopes of the historic peninsula.

At the top, you'll arrive at Alanya Castle, a spectacular fortress dating back to the 13th century, built during the Seljuk Empire. The castle complex stretches across the rocky peninsula and offers 360° views of the surrounding area. Once an important military stronghold, today the castle is a blend of well-preserved towers, ancient walls, and tranquil walking paths. Our host will give a short introduction about the castle's history and its strategic significance. After that, you will be given free time to explore on your own — wander through its paths, take panoramic photos, and imagine life centuries ago within its walls.

After this final stop, we gather again for the return transfer and head back to your hotel before dinner time, bringing your Alanya adventure to a comfortable close.
