I really enjoyed this day tour especially since it was a small group type of tour. We were only 6 people, so it really felt like a private tour! The instructions were easy to follow and in great details so everything went smoothly. We had an amazing and friendly guide, Georgi, who explained a lot about the history of the city of Plovdiv and who answered our many questions. The guided tour lasted more than an hour and then we got 2 hours of free time to enjoy the city, the museums and/or eat. The Asen’s fortress is quite impressive and offers an amazing view over the mountains and the city. We stayed for 30 minutes but it was sufficient especially after walking the many steps to the highest view point of the fortress!! Overall, I really enjoyed this small group day trip to Plovdiv and the Asen’s Fortress.

5 stars for the guy Martin. He is so hilarious and very professional in his field. if he is your tour guide then you will realize how a tour guide should be. Thanks for an amazing trip. 🤟🏻

Boyana church is very impressive. A portion is nearly 1,000 years old and in very good condition. It felt like walking back in time. Rila is a lovely serene place. I can see why the monks built their Monestary in this location.
