We were with the kids, the buffet was varied, there was a magician who entertained the kids, and the views of Bangkok at night were beautiful! A great evening!

If you're traveling as a couple or solo, get a ticket with food—on the balcony, if possible (it's more comfortable, but sitting inside compromises the view, as the windows are a bit dirty, and there's a little more privacy on the balcony). Arrive around sunset (5:00 PM), have dinner (cocktails are 150-200 baht) with a view of the setting sun, and when it starts to get dark, climb up onto the rotating platform. The view of the city at night is simply amazing; we stood on three laps. In total, including dinner, we spent two hours in Baiyoke.

My seat was on the open deck on the 3rd floor. Many buildings were illuminated at night, making for a beautiful view from the ship. The buffet bar initially had a long queue, but they were constantly restocking. I recommend waiting until the queue is shorter before getting your food. There was also live music on board, creating a great atmosphere.
