Reviews: Queenstown: Lake Whakatipu Boat Trip

We started with the mountains hiding behind clouds but got lucky. The sun came through and all clouds lifted which gave us great views of the lakesides.
Reviews: Queenstown: Hidden Underwater Theatre Experience

I learned a lot about New Zealand's natural history through the film. I was also surprised that even though not a single fish was visible on the surface, the fish population density was so high just a little deeper. It was a valuable experience to see the inner workings of the lake.
Reviews: From Wanaka: Milford Sound Flight with Landing & Glaciers
Guest User2025-03-08
We originally booked for just the flight over the mountains and glaciers but the trip was cancelled because we were the only two people who had booked. We paid the additional fee and combined the flight with landing at Milford airport, a short coach trip to the marina and boat cruise around Milford Sound. We were pleased we did so. Ryan, our pilot, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and a good communicator. The scenery was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat tour too. Although the marina was very busy and there was some unnecessary jostling to board our boat, the cruise itself was excellent. The scenery was beautiful and unlike anything we are likely to find in England! Milford Sound is quite busy as, understandably, so many people would like to see and enjoy it. However, there was sufficient space between the boats to ensure the number didn’t spoil our experience. A word of advice if you are tall and considering booking a flight, is to check you will have legroom on plane.
