The trail to Dominica's Boiling Lake is challenging and designed for the hardiest, most experienced hikers. Instead of going it alone, tackle the trail with a local guide to help you find your way around Roseau's Morne Trois Pitons National Park. Trek up Morne Nicholls, a mountain with an altitude of 3,168 feet, for magical views of the Valley of Desolation, then descend into the Valley of Desolation for a swim in the hot pools deep within.
Along the way, admire Boiling Lake (entry tickets included) and visit Titou Gorge, a picture-perfect watering oasis. Refuel in between with energy-focused snacks and beverages, including bottled water.
