For my first trip abroad, I advise everyone not to prioritize price. I booked two hotels this time. The first was the DoubleTree by Hilton, very close to the beach. The second was supposedly a well-known local brand hotel. And then disaster struck. In the middle of the night, the fire alarm went off like something out of a movie, like something out of a Titanic film, with water spraying everywhere. We were so scared we ran out without even grabbing our luggage or documents. We stood on the street from 4 AM until 7 or 8 AM, unable to enter the hotel because the police had cordoned it off. When we got back, we asked about compensation, and the hotel only offered to compensate for two out of four nights. Later, with the help of Ctrip, they finally compensated for three nights. So, from now on, I'll just stay in high-end hotels.Trip.com picks
