Reviews: Eurail Pass (European Rail Pass) [Includes SIM card voucher for multiple European countries/Refundable if not activated/Includes train services in 33 European countries/Discounts on Swiss attractions]

I purchased a Eurail pass because it is cheaper than buying individual tickets, especially when I have to take long-distance train journeys multiple times. Furthermore, with delays on European trains—particularly long-distance ones—being severe these days, even if you have reserved a seat, you may find yourself having to take different trains along the way. In such situations, the unrestricted Eurail pass has been a great help.

The price was genuinely cheap. When other tour groups saw that they had booked at this price, they suddenly had much more respect for Ctrip. I used to think Ctrip was expensive, but now I realize I didn't know how to book there. The accommodation in Guilin was poor. The bathroom light was dim, the bed was extremely hard, and maybe because of the humid weather, the blankets felt damp. The hotel environment was generally poor, but the location was okay. The only thing that was acceptable was the hot water, which was great (though my expectations were low). If you're a more discerning traveler... The next morning, we got up early to take a boat trip on the Li River to Yangshuo. We booked the boat tickets there (because Ctrip didn't offer this product separately), and we basically got ripped off by over 30 yuan per ticket, not including pick-up and drop-off. So, sometimes I don't know what to say, but overall, taking a boat trip to Yangshuo was definitely the right choice. Accommodation in Yangshuo was average, generally worth the price. The owner was very welcoming and proactively picked us up from the pier, recommending places to eat and do along the way. We booked the Liu Sanjie show and Yulong River rafting through the hotel owner. One package was about 10 yuan more expensive than on Taobao, while another was about 10 yuan cheaper. Overall, the price was the same as on Taobao, so we booked through the owner because it was convenient. Overall, the trip was good. One more thing: Guilin and Yangshuo are famous, with many foreigners and relatively few Chinese tourists, which actually makes them less expensive than Lijiang and Sanya, making them worth visiting.
