Reviews: New Zealand Waitomo Glowworm Caves + Hobbiton™ Movie Set Tours 1-day tour [Round-trip from Auckland + Sightseeing Bus]
Guest User2026-03-17
This was a bus tour from Auckland to Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton. The driver was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories along the way, which made the trip enjoyable. At Waitomo Caves, we saw a truly mystical and beautiful sight. Before heading to Hobbiton, we were given lunch boxes, which we ate on the bus. We were also given plenty of bottled water, so I don't think you need to bring your own. The guide at Hobbiton was also wonderful and gave us a great tour. I was traveling alone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The scenery was beautiful, driver Alan drove smoothly, and all the props and supplies to enhance the tour experience were provided. He was very knowledgeable and professional about scenic spots and portrait photography, and his introduction to the local culture and geography was also very detailed. The time and arrangements were handled very well. 👍 I booked a tour departing tomorrow at the last minute, and Ctrip customer service representative Chenxi assisted in arranging my participation very quickly. The communication was timely and excellent. 😊

Reviews: Waitomo Glowworm Caves + Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ 1-day tour | 16 people · Including admission ticket

It's Cheeky Wiki, a well-known local travel agency. Our group wasn't large this time, and the driver-guide arranged for self-introductions and a Q&A session, like a teacher leading students. It was my first time in New Zealand, and I saw wormholes, geothermal activity, and kiwis for the first time. It was definitely worthwhile to experience it all in one day. Although the driving time was a bit long, there were frequent short breaks, and the time management was reasonable, so it didn't feel too tiring.

A cruise with marine biology students. It was incredibly seasick, and half the passengers were sick, sitting or lying down with bags.
