Reviews: Tiger Hill Darjeeling Nature Walk (3 Hours Guided Trekking Experience)
Guest User2024-12-14
Apart from the fog which obstructed the long distance views this was an excellent hike of around 12km up and down Tiger Hill, which the very competent and pleasant guide kindly extended to 15 km with a walk back to my hotel along the ridge behind the town. Ujjwal Giri, the guide, was exceptionally helpful, particularly when he realised that my plans to return to Kolkata would not work as I had expected. We walked up through fir and bamboo forests, across an open plateau with views over the surrounding foothills of the Himalayas and even a quick glimpse, when the fog cleared briefly, of the Kanchenjunga peaks, then via a different route back through the forest. I learnt about the regional culture, the trees, plants, birds and animals and the development of mountaineering and trekking in the area. All in all a wonderful introduction to the area. I am a woman over 70 but fairly fit. I believe that Ujjwal can adapt to a wide range of fitness levels.
Reviews: Colonial Heritage Walking Tour in Darjeeling
Guest User2023-01-16
Darjeeling is a place abundant with colonial history, yet so many tourists choose to neglect the cultural and heritage aspect of their visit in favor of more popular activities such as waiting in lines at Glenary's and Keventers. Choosing to take Darjeeling Walk's four-hour walking tour around the town instead, myself and my mother had the best experience of our four-day stay. We were guided by Anirban, who showed us both the upper and lower parts of Darjeeling, introducing us to places that aren't typically mentioned in any tourist guide books - yet they're made up of such important parts of Darjeeling's culture. We ended the tour with tea-tasting at Mayukh's, epitomizing a fitting conclusion to one's Darjeeling experience! All thanks to Anirban for making the most out of our limited visit.
Reviews: Darjeeling Cultural & Nature Walking Guided Tour

I got to experience a different side of Darjeeling thanks to Ashmita Trek & Tours. My guide Sangay showed me some very interesting places and stunning views and could teach me so much about nature as well as culture! I really enjoyed it!
