We chose Jinshanglin-Simatai route to avoid the crowd and it was perfect. We were team up with other 4 people and transferred by a 7-seat car, the ride was around 2.5 hours from Beijing. The driver spoke good English, he didn’t talk much during the ride but gave the group very clear instruction before the hike with a map. The trek was around 5km, no guide, guests will go by themselves but it was fine. Scenery was very nice and less people there so we were able to take hundred of pictures.
