Reviews: Hokkaido Nature Tour: Zoo, Flower Fields & Blue Pond

This trip was fantastic. First, our tour guide, Xiaoyu, was incredibly patient, helping every tourist who needed assistance. Throughout the trip, she tirelessly shared many interesting local history and cultural stories, which I, as a tourist, listened to attentively and found very helpful and informative. She also patiently guided us through the meeting points and ensured safety, providing excellent service. Second, the driver's skills were superb. Despite the challenging driving conditions in the icy and snowy conditions, he still managed to get everyone to our destination safely and on time. Thank you both for your hard work; the entire trip was excellent, and I would definitely choose Xiaoyu again next time.

Our tour guide, Oscar, was both informative and bubbly. Although English isn’t his first language, he made a genuine effort to communicate with our non-Chinese-speaking guests, which we truly appreciated. Throughout the trip, he shared local stories, food recommendations, and souvenir tips that made the journey more engaging and enjoyable. While the flower fields looked lovely from a distance, they weren’t in full bloom yet—up close, they appeared rather bare. On a side note, for a nearly 10-hour day trip, over 6 hours were spent on the road. This made the actual sightseeing feel quite limited, and we felt the overall experience didn’t fully justify the price paid. If driving is an option, we would recommend self-driving instead, as it allows for more flexibility and time at each stop. Also, don’t miss the all the ice cream!

The trip went very well. The weather was perfect. Lily is the best toor guide. She is very considerate of our safety and make sure we meet our needs, not get lost in our free time in every attraction we visited. She is very cheerful and willing to start a conversation with interesting information. I sat with the her during the tour and got the very front seat. It was amazing. I can take many great photos. Thanks to her.
Reviews: Hokkaido one-day tour Asahikawa Zoo & Four Seasons Color Hill & Christmas Tree & Elf Terrace Small Group Optional

The tour guide, Mr. Chan, is very professional. He not only explains the geography and attractions of Hokkaido, but also shares the culture and history of Japan with you. It can be said to be an intellectual and scenic journey. Mr. Driver is a local Japanese with good driving skills and no bad habits. We visited Hokkaido in the autumn of September to participate in the Asahikawa and Furano day trip. Although there is no white snow or colorful summer flowers, we still complete the experience! Peace! Smooth! See you later😇

The itinerary was the opposite of what was advertised. The first stop was Shikisai-gaoka, passing by a roller coaster—you couldn't see anything unless you were in the driver's seat. The Shikisai-gaoka stop was about an hour and twenty minutes. The second stop was Aoike, a small pond, where we stayed for half an hour. The third stop was Shirahige Falls, a viewing bridge over a ditch—literally, a waterfall, but more like a few streams cascading into the ditch—where we stayed for twenty minutes. These stops were very close to each other, making the drive very short. Finally, at around 1:20 pm, we arrived at Farm Tomita, where we stayed for an hour and forty minutes, concluding our tour at 3:00 pm and heading home. Overall, Shikisai-gaoka and Farm Tomita are worth a visit. You can admire the vibrant sea of flowers and experience the vastness and tranquility of the Hokkaido countryside. Not only are the scenery stunning, but you can also savor the sweetness of local honeydew melons and delicacies enhanced by lavender. The driver-guide remained mostly silent throughout the trip, but the route was well-planned, allowing ample time to explore all four attractions. The downside was that the country roads were too bumpy. The nine-person group was riding in a Toyota Hiace and drove for two and a half hours. The narrow space made the riding experience poor.
