The Qiao Family Compound is located in Qiaojiabao Village, Qi County, Shanxi Province, 54 kilometers north of Taiyuan and only 2 kilometers south of Dongguan Town. Also known as "Zhongtang," it was one of the residences of Qiao Zhiyong, a renowned commercial and financial capitalist during the Qing Dynasty. Construction began during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, and it underwent two renovations and one expansion. Through the continuous efforts of several generations, it was completed as a magnificent architectural complex, embodying the unique style of northern Chinese residential architecture during the Qing Dynasty. With a rich historical atmosphere, it is recommended to avoid holidays to visit, as it is less crowded in the morning.
