Because my Istanbul hotel was quite far, the customer service team repeatedly helped me contact and confirm transportation, which was very responsible. This was an English-speaking tour; the tour guide spoke English slowly and clearly. The entire group came from all over the world and were all enthusiasts of Troy's history, making the visit to this historical site very meaningful. The tour included a standard Turkish meal and round-trip boat rides. The return boat trip, in particular, covered a short section of the Dardanelles Strait, completing the itinerary.

Charlie was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. He was able to balance the somber and seriousness of the war, with humorous little stories about the comradery between the Turkish and the ANZACs. I gained a deeper understanding about WW1 from an afternoon on this tour, than from my entire school life. Would definitely recommend this tour- and Charlie as a guide- to anyone!

The guide was great, extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the site. However, I booked this particular tour to get an in-depth tour of the site itself, only to be informed that the tour would also include the museum (which I had already done separately), so the tour of Troy felt very rushed, which was unfortunate.

The full day tour was well paced and everything went to schedule. Comfortable transportation with good drivers . The small group size was great. Burak our guide was very knowledgeable about Troy and the history of the war at Gallipoli. He created a relaxed atmosphere with our group and related really well to the different individuals. He was fun but also treated the subject matter with respect and sincerity. We learnt a lot. We would definitely recommend this tour by Crowded House Tours.
