Things to do in Chengdu

It is a popular destination. We went in the morning - there’s an orderly queue to get into the park, and some areas (such as new born panda area) also has a queue. Overall, it is still worthwhile to visit.

Stairs on the left side in the second half of mountain are slippery, narrow and partially destroyed in some places, so i strongly suggest that you take those stairs on the left side only up, not down. Whole journey (up the stairs on the left and down on the cable car on the right) took us about 4 hours. Food, drinks and restrooms can be found near all points of interest on this mountain, and along the way there are plenty of places where you can sit or even lie down to have some rest, which makes the climb comfortable.

This cottage was very beautiful. As a foreigner who doesn't speak Chinese, it was very accessible with translation options, tours, and English captions on everything. Would highly recommend visiting and great value for the price. Even during the off season it is beautiful and rich with the history of Chengdu.

A must-visit historical site in Chengdu. The Wuhou Shrine is beautifully preserved and offers a deep dive into the Three Kingdoms period. I really enjoyed walking through the lush gardens, the classic red walls, and the peaceful bamboo paths. The ancient architecture and cultural artifacts are fascinating. It's a great place to learn about Chinese history and take stunning photos. Highly recommended!

The two-story wooden cabin has a fantastic design, including a stargazing cabin. It's nestled against a mountain and river, making it suitable for families with children, and the price is reasonable. The service was also excellent. It would be perfect if they offered Chinese breakfast.

I was searching for activities to do on my last day (and birthday) and thought why not try this one. Turns out it was one of the best experiences I had here in Chengdu! There was never a boring part of the show even though I don’t speak Chinese. Every act is very interesting. Totally recommended!

🏛️ Chengdu Museum — A Wonderful Glimpse into Chengdu’s History & CultureA really interesting place to visit while in Chengdu, especially if you want to understand more about the city beyond its famous pandas and food. 😊The museum has a great collection showcasing Chengdu’s long history, culture, traditions and development. I especially enjoyed seeing the historical artefacts and learning about how Chengdu has changed through the centuries.The exhibits are well presented and the museum is spacious, clean and easy to explore. Even though I’m not usually someone who spends a lot of time in museums, I found this visit surprisingly enjoyable and informative.It’s also a nice place to escape the heat or rain for a while and take a slower, more relaxing break from sightseeing.Definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in history and culture. A good way to appreciate the story behind this fascinating city. ❤️You can drop by if you are planning to go to Tianfu Square area or Huang Cheng mosque area as this place is only in a blink away😊
