When we bought our tickets, it said to show the QR code to the staff, but there wasn't one, so I was a little worried something was wrong. But when we arrived, the ticket inspector twiddled something on the screen and everything worked, and we were allowed through. Then, in the waiting area, there was a gathering of a motley group of tourists, not as well-mannered as the Japanese, a terrible noise, the smell of food, and children running around. When boarding, there were no assigned seats, so I sat wherever I could. We couldn't squeeze into the line, but we had to sit awkwardly, with limited visibility from the window and the air conditioning was cold. Then we were allowed to go up to the upper deck, where it was more beautiful and pleasant. We weren't thrilled, but it was worth seeing once: lots of water, large cruise restaurants, bridges, and cormorants. Overall, not bad.Trip.com picks
