Reviews: Noboribetsu Hell Valley, Lake Toya & Showa Shinzan One-Day Tour [Guaranteed Departure for One Person]

I joined the tour on November 15th. The bus was almost full, with people from many different countries in the group, but it was always our compatriots who were late. Sigh. Our tour guide, Vivi, was very good. She had to speak the exact same thing in three languages, which must have been quite tiring. The stops at each attraction were short. It was pretty much a quick visit, but there was no other way, as it was too far and time was tight. The weather was so-so this time, mostly overcast, but during a brief break in the sunshine, I saw half of Mount Yotei and immediately took a picture.

Today I went on a tour with this group. Our guide, Mr. Shao Tiexuan, first explained the history of the scenic spots in great detail, which felt like a history lesson, but with a touch of humor. It was a great experience. The overall arrangements were excellent. At the end, the guide also shared his own experiences living here and recommended restaurants and attractions, and offered discount coupons. Highly recommended!

For lunch at Lake Toya, there was an old lady selling ramen; her salt-flavored ramen was very hearty. The balloon pudding was also delicious.
