Pocket Wi-Fi would be a bit of a hassle to carry, and I wasn't sure if I could buy a SIM card locally, so I bought an eSIM. This time, the instructions were detailed, the installation was easy, and after a little setup once I arrived, I was able to use it without any problems! I bought it for 400 yen for 3GB for 10 days. I was able to choose between Globe and Smart in the device settings. Smart had better signal in crowded places like the airport and New Mactan Town, while Globe had better signal in rural areas like Moalboal and Oslob. I'm really glad I could use it!

A very good SIM card! It was easily activated upon arrival directly in the app using a link, and then it automatically activated in each new country—Laos, Malaysia, Thailand—and the signal was excellent everywhere, and calls worked too. Very convenient, I highly recommend it!


