Reviews: Private Customized Delhi Shopping Tour with Female Consultant

This itinerary is very useful for first-time visitors to Delhi, although the places they take you to sell things are more expensive than outside (we only realized this later when we were shopping outside), but at least it gives you a quick overview of the city. We were there for a wedding, so the places they took us to were perfect for getting our wedding dresses ready. Women can choose Lehenga Choli, around $80 USD per dress, and men can get a suit jacket for $100 USD per piece. Measurements are taken on-site, and the dresses are delivered to the hotel the next day; the quality is good. We also visited Khan Market, a famous upscale shopping area, which is worth a visit. Be aware of traffic; it took our driver two hours to reach the first shop in the morning. The tour guide was very professional and provided excellent service.

For those who are experiencing their first day in Delhi and are feeling lost, spending an afternoon with JD is the best decision. JD manages to open the doors to Indian and non-Indian culinary culture. We always felt safe, even though Old Delhi is very difficult for foreigners to visit. JD carefully selects places where you can enjoy authentic street food safely, and complements the experience with visits to hidden spots you wouldn't otherwise be able to visit on your own. We would make this choice a thousand times over, thanks, JD! Federica, Vittoria, Silvia, and Elia

I had an incredible unique experience at the home of Roopak and Nidhi. As soon as I booked they started sharing tidbits of information such as 5 useful Hindi words, places to see in Delhi, etc. it was very helpful and informative and helped me build my itinerary for my time in Delhi. Upon arrival we are greeting with an Indian welcome which includes a few little rituals such as wrapping red thread around your wrist. Then we started cooking. I learned about ingredients I have never used and cooking techniques that were new to me. Meanwhile during the entire experience, Roopak is sharing endless unique things about the Indian culture and history. After cooking this amazing meal we sat down and ate together. This is probably the best meal I have ever had! All the ingredients are fresh, the milk we used came from the Dairy that morning. All the spices are whole and we grind them as we use them with a mortar and pestle. After we ate lunch we went back to the kitchen to make dessert and masala chai. Then we leisurely talked and continued to learn about the Indian culture, religions, customs, habits. Upon departure we all received a little gift which we were told not to open for a few days. We must wait for a text which explains the gift. I still haven’t opened it and I’m so intrigued. If I ever visit Delhi again, I will do another experience with Roopak and Nidhi. They adjust the experience for the time of year and any festivals happening. So it will always be unique. I highly recommend this experience. Don’t hesitate, go for it and book it!
Reviews: Cooking Demo + Lunch/Dinner and interaction with an Indian family @ Chez Anjali

The cooking demonstration with Anjali was a highlight of our trip to India. We were delighted by her hospitality and are glad that she shared her cooking skills with us. Her explanations of all the spices were excellent and the whole family enjoyed the delicious food very much. We wouldn’t have wanted to miss this amazing opportunity!

We had an amazing experience at Preeti's private traditional Indian cooking class! We learned to make daal, rice, chapati, chicken curry, chai, and bindi, all under her expert guidance. Preeti and her husband were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. The flavors were authentic, and the warmth they showed made the evening truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive into the heart of Indian cuisine. Thank you, Preeti!
