Reviews: A day tour through Battambang/Local area and landmarks

If you're passing through Battambang, you absolutely must take Pao's tour! We chose the private tour, and it was absolutely worth it! We didn't just visit the sites; Pao explained the history to us, but more importantly, he allowed us to understand the culture and beauty of the Cambodian people. Pao loves his job, truly knows the history and traditions, and will always accompany you with a big smile! Thank you, Pao, for your kindness and friendliness! We will always remember this day!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Sam, he was full of information at every stop and told us loads about the Khmer Rouge and his experience during that time so that context was really useful when we saw the killing caves, though it was difficult to hear about. My partner and I were the only ones to book onto the morning section so we got a private tour for the first part! We learnt loads about the Cambodian culture and their way of life and it was fascinating to see how they make things like rice paper and rice noodles - we even got to try some spring rolls and rice wine (strong stuff at 10am but still tastes nice). The afternoon part was great fun doing the bamboo train and seeing the bat caves but if you want a proper look into real Khmer culture I’d massively recommend doing the full day experience, we got to see so much and it’s such great value for money.

Reviews: Prek Toal Birds Sanctuary and floating Village Private Day Tour

My husband and I very much enjoyed our all day tour. Leap was our guide and Paeap was our driver. We had a wonderful visit to Prek Toal. The trip from the hotel by van was very comfortable. We then took a larger boat a distance to a floating village were we got into a smaller boat that took us into the reserve. We saw many birds and Leap did an excellent job of pointing them out and identifying them. We enjoyed the viewing tower which allowed us to see the rookery for pelicans, Asian Open Billed, and Painted Storks. On the return we stopped at a baray and a Buddhist Pagoda. Leap did a wonderful job of explaining the history of the area. Everyone that we met was very kind and friendly. We recommend taking this tour. Bring a lunch or ask to purchase one in the floating village. Water is provided. The larger boat motor is loud so bring some earplugs if you are bothered by that.
