Reviews: Jungle Queen Riverboat 90-Minute Narrated Sightseeing Cruise in Fort Lauderdale

Totally recommend! We took the Brightline Train for a day trip from Orlando. After spending time at the beach, we crossed A1A to the marina and hopped on this cruise. With tickets in hand, it was easy boarding with plenty of good seats to choose from. It was so beautiful seeing the Little Venice from the river. Monica the narrator was very knowledgeable with a few good jokes to share. Oh, and we got water gunned by a pirate! After a 90 minute cruise, we even had time for a burger at Burgers & Shakes at Marina Village before catching Circuit, the City of Fort Lauderdale’s free answer to ride sharing back to the train station. It was a great day in Fort Lauderdale and the Jungle Queen cruise was a huge part of our fantastic day. Do this cruise if you can. It’s a great value and will leave a lasting impression.★

Our family of four decided on this tour based on the glowing reviews and to be fair the experience was good. We found it pretty easily and we didn’t have to wait very long at all until we heard our boat number being called and we quickly boarded the airboat after a quick but professional photo being taken (that we were able to purchase straight after disembarking). Our guide was highly knowledgeable and friendly, and we were quite fortunate to see one alligator, but it would have been ideal had we been advised that it was unlikely as they’re all hiding from the heat in the depths of the muddy Everglades. Nonetheless, we learned about many of the visible birds and the history of the Everglades, which was delivered in a really engaging way and he powered us back at speed which was fun. Once we returned, we visited the sanctuary albeit small was informative. I will say that in the summer months it’s probably not the best time to visit, but we enjoyed our experience nonetheless.★

My husband and I initially wanted to do the Venice of America tour but it was booked. I am so happy that it was because The Stay Afloat Party Boat evening Cruise with Captain Ross & BJ did NOT disappoint. BJ was knowledgeable and provided loads of facts during the tour. He was fun and engaging. The music selection was relaxing g and the fact that this is a BYOB boat is an added bonus. Captain Ross navigated the boat smoothly and at just the right pace. We also sought advice from BJ as visitors from Atlanta, about restaurants nearby that we could get to upon arrival by foot. Needless to say, my husband has t stopped raving about that cruise.
