I cannot praise this trip highly enough. The route and stops along the way flowed beautifully, with our very informative and friendly guide, Marco, bringing Madeira to life for us. He explained not only the history and the diverse plant species, but also how families have managed the land for generations. It was fascinating, so much so that I fallen ever so slightly in love with Madeira. Highlight of the trip for mr was the L’évada trail (No-11) which needs pre booking online. €4.50. An added lovely touch after a full day of sightseeing was we were dropped off in order of pick-ups even though I’m sure it may have been easier to drop off the other way around. Very thoughtful.★

Reviews: Diving in the Madeira Aquarium

It was in incredible experience and a luck to find an aquarium to do it in totally safety. We saw "l'envers du décors", "behind the scenes" and learn many thing about it. The diving instructeur is very patient and alway watchfull. For old or young divers ; do it !★

We felt very well taken care of right from the start. After a short safety briefing, we headed out to sea, and our captain was in constant contact with the lookouts on land to spot animals for us. The first group was a bit shy and didn't let us get too close. When it was time to turn back, we passed a second, less shy group. They made a special stop for us, and we were able to observe the whales in peace. On the way back, they simply picked up the pace a bit. It was a truly fantastic tour, and we definitely recommend it!★

We had originally tried a different company for a whale and dolphin watching tour and had no luck as they just went along the coast line. This company take you out and have spotters telling them where to go! We saw two different pods of pilot whales, stopped to get videos and pictures but kept a respectful distance! It was amazing. The speed boat ride back was hilarious too, it’s so fast. We were out for two hours and it was definitely worth the money! Only a group of 12 of us, and you can snorkel with dolphins if you find a specific species.★
