Reviews: 7 Hours Monkey Island and Nature Walk at Soberania National Park

Wow, we had a great time! And, there were only 2 of us on the tour! Juan, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the ecology and wildlife of the park as well as the history of the canal and U.S. involvement in Panama's politics. On top of that, he has lived an amazing (still young) life. If you go with his company, be sure to ask him about how he got to where he is today on the way back to your hotel. We saw, and fed from our hands, wild capuchin monkeys, saw a tamarin monkey and a howler (unfortunately he didn't howl.) The capuchins will come onto the boat and sit in your lap if you feed them grapes (provided by Juan!) While we were feeding the capuchins, one of the monkeys accidently knocked Juan's cell phone out of his hand and into the lake. Phone lost but Juan did not miss a beat during the tour. Be sure to use bug repellent for the hike part of the tour. Pickup and drop-off at your hotel. Thoroughly recommend his company.

Absolutely a great day! Our guide went above and beyond to personalize the experience and to make sure our day went off without a hitch. He was very knowledgeable about Panama and the area. I would strongly recommend this trip to other travelers. We had a 5 year old and 17 year old traveling with us and there were things that interested both.

Alex was a wonderful guide. He made our experience one we will never forget. I recommend everyone to chose him if you decide to visit and learn about the great city of Panama.
Reviews: Gatun Boat Tour, Sloth Sanctuary, Wildlife Exhibits + Buffet
Guest User2025-02-25
The buffet is available until the activities end. We added transportation to the hotel, and the driver was very attentive. The boat trip wasn't as pleasant; they went very fast, splashing us, and if you don't tip them more, they don't answer or give directions. The life jackets smell bad, you can't touch the sloths, and there are only three of them. The wildlife exhibits are just butterflies and frogs, and there are very few of them. It's really expensive for what it is; it's not worth it. It's better to buy tickets for the activities directly at the location. The buffet food is varied and plentiful. The restaurant is nice, and the waiters are attentive. Alcoholic drinks are not included, but they do give you a complimentary drink (water or soda).
