The mountain was a great uphill walk and on the day we were there we got an excellent view of Mount Fuji from the top. Our guide, Jeff, was friendly and had a good knowledge of the mountain and various sites of Japanese cultural significance along the walk. Jeff also joined us for lunch which was helpful when communicating with the staff at the restaurant in the town at the base of the mountain given we were not fluent speaking Japanese. One area where slight improvement would be possible would have been if our guide had spoken a little more softly when at the sacred points of cultural significance along the way. I felt some of the locals would have preferred that, as they were evidently there for peaceful reflection and our presence was potentially disruptive to their experience. That said though, the tour was definitely a good day and it was great to visit somewhere outside of central Tokyo where there were relatively few tourists. It felt like a very genuine Japan experience.

Convenient to use and very much worth the money. You can actually alight on any stops of the line to side track to other attractions on the train line after you complete mount Takao

The service was incredibly responsive throughout. I inquired months in advance, and the staff were all very friendly. Our guide, Mr. Long, was also fantastic! His service was absolutely amazing – a superb smile! His driving skills were top-notch, he was very punctual, and we chatted and laughed the whole way. He even recommended some attractions and good restaurants! He was also very thoughtful (providing directions to restrooms, dining options, etc.). The weather was perfect too! Absolutely amazing! They also have tours to Izu!! And this year's mild winter meant the cherry blossoms in Izu bloomed a few days ago! Everyone, go for it!!! Contact the shop and make your plans now!!! Be sure to wear sunscreen, as the sun is incredibly strong!!


