Reviews: Kailua-Kona: Whale Watching Cruise on the Big Island
Guest User2026-01-16
First, I'm grateful to the group for contacting me in such an emergency and sending me the meeting address via text message (I accidentally parked on the opposite bank of the river, which caused me to be late in finding the group). Second, the organizers were very welcoming and didn't complain about my 15-minute lateness. Finally, I want to say that the essence of travel lies in the warmth felt amidst unexpected dangers. My wife was seasick, and a kind foreigner gave her some medicine—I'm incredibly grateful! It was a truly unforgettable whale-watching trip; we saw whales and dolphins.

Reviews: Big Island: Morning Snorkel Sail to Captain Cook's Monument

Capt Eddie and crew (Noe, Sierra, and Myrissa) were great. They made you feel like family. The boat is single level, but pleanty of space for the number of people. The bathrooms (heads) were roomy and clean. There was pleanty of food on the morning tour we were on, including lunch. The snorkeling gear was very good, with noodles and life jackets available too. They even provided reef safe sunscreen. Stories about Kealakekua bay and Capt Cook added to the experience. My wife and I are in our 60's and we had a fun time. We highly recommended Sea Paradise.

This was a fantastic tour. It was a Small group, only myself and my son and then a couple. Our captain Jack (I hope Ingot that right haha I was in island mode) was very funny and knowledgeable about the legends and history of Captain Cooke and the people of the Island at that time. I love history so I really dug the stories. After swimming for more than an hour over the reef, which was truly magical, he served us fresh local pineapple and other snacks, which was perfect because swimming really is a workout! we had extra time so he took us to some extra locations that were really beautiful and told us the stories and legends. I love photography and was able to get incredible shots. Overall it was just super relaxed and my son had such a good time as did I. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Reviews: Big Island: Full-Day Kohala Zipline and Waterfall Adventure

Done was a great driver and guide, his knowledge of the island, the people and their history is informative and fun. He certainly makes the drive to and from the location a lot more fun . If there was anything I would add to the zipline and this would not work for everyone would be cargo nets to zipline into . We have done this at a couple of other zips and you then climb to the next line but it was still brilliant without them 😀
