I learned a lot about Karlsruhe, and was most amazed by the skills of the bus driver who had to navigate around the many construction sites in the narrow streets.

I traveled using a Eurail pass. It was cheaper than other sites, including points redemption, so I used it. I recommend it if you travel long distances a lot. I'll definitely consider it for my next trip to Europe.


