I had a fantastic tour with Muzzafar and the driver. As agreed, I was picked up from my hotel on time. There, we first discussed what we would see. Muzzafar is very knowledgeable and experienced. The driver drove the vehicle very safely; it was very comfortable. We saw the most important sights, the highlight of which was, of course, the flower market. The tour also offered some great culinary experiences. We visited an Indian coffee house and finished with a visit to a lovely bakery. It was a wonderful day. I highly recommend this tour to everyone, even those traveling alone.★

This was far more than just a food tour — it was a true experience of Kolkata at night. The guide, Avik Mitra, is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his city. He shared fascinating stories about local life, culture, and history while leading me through the lively northern part of the city. We explored narrow old streets, took local transport, and visited small traditional eateries that have been serving amazing Bengali food for generations — some for more than a hundred years! Each stop felt authentic and full of character. The dishes were delicious, but what made the evening special was the insight and warmth Avik brought to every moment. It felt like walking the city with a local friend who knows every hidden gem. Highly recommended!★

Fantastic walking and driving tour of Kolkata with KC. We started early at the flower markets, enjoyed a local bread and “momlette” breakfast, and explored the city’s stunning architecture and colonial history along the way. KC was engaging, knowledgeable, and kept the experience relaxed and enjoyable throughout.
Seeing artisans at work building statues for Saraswati Puja was a real highlight, and ending the tour at the Park Street cemetery—with fascinating stories shared in this peaceful green oasis—was the perfect close. Highly recommend KC, and I’ll definitely look him up again on my next visit to Kolkata.★

Fantastic Guided Tour of Kolkata. Our guide Subrata was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions fanatically.
He even went to additional lengths to ensure we had a positive experience. After finding out my profession (civil engineer) he made a point of pointing out interesting structural/architectural elements and found us a lovely art store after I said I was interested in paintings. Would recommend highly to anyone. I feel like I really got to know Kolkata!★

Guide and Experience
Muzaffar is an extremely knowledgeable guide, articulate and passionate about the history, culture, and details of Kolkata and India in general. He answered all our probably weird questions, making the entire experience engaging and fun. We learned a significant amount about the city and we would not have been able to set up such a tour by ourselves.
Muzaffar provides an exceptional service and is nice, kind, friendly, and very flexible, easily adjusting the tour to our personal preferences and requests. The driver is also to praise for navigating the Kolkata traffic.
Tour Highlights
The tour hits all the main sites but can be customized. This is what we visited:
We started by a memorable and humbling visite at Mother Teresa house museum and tomb.
Our guide also took us to three Jain temples in Kolkata (Dadabari and Mahavira Temple), spread over three complexes.
We then went to New Market, a massive olf covered market where you can find everything from needle to diamond. Quite an experience. We bought some spices and tea.
We visited the old english district with massive buildings and later the park around Victoria Memorial (opted for not going inside) and St Paul's Cathedral.
The Flower Market was quite an authentic experience with Muzaffar guiding us through the narrow streets below the Howrah Bridge.
The peaceful visit to the "potter's district in Kumartuli to see amazing clay sculptures being created for the festivals and learning about it was for me the highlight.
We also went to College Street for coffee and snacks at the Indian Coffee House and were gifted a poetry book by Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel prize of litterature.
Value
This private tour is really the most effective way to see the city. The high quality of the experience, especially with Muzaffar, will save you time and headache if this is your first time in India and a little apprehensive to discover such a big city.
