It was a very satisfying experience. Guide Jeff was so kind and attentive. I think the firefly tour will stay in my memory for a long time.
It was raining, but Jeff stopped the rain so we could take the boat.
I recommend it. I will come again next time.★

The itinerary wasn't strictly according to a schedule, but it was quite reasonable. The time was also very tight. The tour guide was very experienced. The ATV ride wasn't suitable for someone like me with little strength; I couldn't control it, but thankfully the driver helped me, so I experienced it from the back seat.
I saw three Rafflesia flowers, but the price has gone up; the entrance fee is 30 Malaysian Ringgit (it used to be 20). You absolutely must try the black pork; it's so delicious, with a charcoal-grilled flavor! Great value for money!★

Many thanks to Ctrip for the recommendation! I rarely write reviews, but I had to say a few words this time. First, kudos to the local tour operator in Kota Kinabalu 👍! The organization was incredibly efficient. They created a group chat immediately, clearly informing us of the driver, vehicle number, and pick-up/drop-off times. Our guide, Simon, was a local Chinese resident—a thoughtful and considerate guy who anticipated everything for us, even choosing perfect photo spots 📷. And let me also praise Simon's photography skills; he truly did justice to Kota Kinabalu's stunning sunset! The weather was hot, and I didn't have high expectations for sightseeing, but this tour was absolutely fantastic—great value for money, and not at all strenuous. It mainly consisted of car and boat rides, and the reflections of the mangroves were breathtaking! It was my first time experiencing a nighttime boat trip through the rainforest!★

I really enjoyed the excursion to the mangrove forest. I'd never seen fireflies before. They're amazing creatures and look like a miracle. At night, thousands of lights light up, like a Christmas tree on New Year's Eve, and then these lights fly towards you like thousands of little angels with tiny lanterns. What a stunning sight! I also really loved being taken to the shore of the South China Sea to watch the sunset. Absolutely beautiful! Everything was organized perfectly. I highly recommend this excursion.★

The Handsome Jeff Tan is a wonderful person to be our local tour guide cum chauffeur. He is knowledgeable of the places where we visited. He was energetic during the trip, capable of finding short-cut country roads when there were traffic jams at main roads. He drove for day and night without feeling tired!
