The tour gave us a view of what Lecce must have been like prior to 1540. The vibrant Jewish community that probably existed there contributed to a medieval society that is in contrast to present day Lecce. We appreciated this opportunity to learn more about Lecce’s forgotten past. It would have been nice to have a deeper discussion about the subject.★

Our local guide, Aurora, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of historical information about the place. She also talked about how paper mâché in Leece came about. Unfortunately, at the time of visit, the paper mâché store was on a break. She also shared with us some of the local sweets and snacks...which looked amazing. All in all, we had a very informative and fun couple of hours. With a private tour, you also get the guide's full attention too.....which is well worth the extra dollars.★

We took the Leuca the Explorer with Captain Mino, he was wonderful. We explored the caves on the Adriatic and Ionian Sea where we had plenty of time for swimming and diving under the caves. It was very cool. The Captain was very knowledgeable about the caves and shared many stories. Would highly recommend this tour.
