Did my homework on this before we travelled. It covered all our transport in the region, and all the mountain attractions we wanted to do. 21 trains, 9 funicular trains, 6 buses and 3 boat trips. Saved about £250 each. Just buy the time tickets for the funiculars online as they fill up quickly.★

Booking the Swiss Travel Pass on Ctrip was very convenient and even offered discounts. After booking, I printed out the QR code and carried it with me, and also downloaded a backup app on my phone. This made it very easy to have the ticket inspector scan the QR code when I encountered a ticket check. The pass was a bit pricey when I bought it, but the benefits were incredible. It allows unlimited travel on trains, buses, subways, boats, and cable cars (some offer discounts), and free admission to museums, making my trip to Switzerland incredibly convenient.
I encountered ticket checks on trains, buses, and boats, so don't take chances; always buy a ticket.★

It works great; basically, just showing your e-ticket is enough. It's accepted on most buses, trains, ferries, and cable cars in Interlaken and Brienz. This year, the cable car to Schilthorn was also free for the entire trip, which was a great deal.★

It was perfect! One of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life! I saw snow and didn't get cold, because I went in the summer. The scenery was amazing!
