Reviews: Afternoon Tea at InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping Hotel | Teresa Teng Afternoon Tea
Guest User2025-10-15
Room 1502 on the 15th floor of the hotel is the room where Teresa Teng lived. The room open to the public now is room 1602 on the 16th floor, so it's sometimes considered a replica exhibition room. Afternoon tea and room tours cost 950 Thai Baht per person, which we booked in advance through Ctrip (163 RMB per person). Upon arrival at the hotel, after the staff verified our e-voucher, we were led to the 16th floor and seated for afternoon tea (our group of 12 chose a relatively large private room). Then we were free to explore the adjacent rooms. The rooms had videos and music playing on a loop, and the views from the windows were fantastic, offering a panoramic view of Chiang Mai; looking down, you could see the hotel's garden. After the room tour, afternoon tea was ready. The afternoon tea included sweet and savory pastries, served with jasmine, oolong, and chrysanthemum tea, and each person could also order a cup of coffee. I ordered an iced Americano, which was quite good. My friends and I had a very enjoyable afternoon tea time together, and everyone was very satisfied with the quality of the tea and the service from the staff. A nostalgic travel experience worth experiencing firsthand.

I've always admired Teresa Teng, and I was fortunate enough to experience afternoon tea and visit her room at the InterContinental Mae Ping Hotel. It was a wonderful experience; the hotel was easy to find, and the ambiance and service were top-notch, adding a lot of enjoyment to my Chiang Mai trip.
Reviews: Old Chiangmai Cultural Center - Khan Toke Dinner

Overall, it was pretty good! Finding the performance venue was a bit of a hassle, though. We took a taxi to the cultural center, and there were two young men at the entrance who, after looking around for a while, still couldn't figure out which venue it was. We decided to call the police, and they led us to the cultural center's management office, where a friendly lady took us to the performance venue. The food was plentiful, there was singing and dancing, and the service was excellent; overall, it was a great experience!
