We visited during the off-season and were lucky enough to be with a very small group, which made the experience much more intimate and personalized. Our guide, Lucía, was delightful throughout the entire tour. It's clear she has a vast knowledge of Mérida's history and, above all, that she enjoys sharing it. She explained everything in a very engaging way, with a wealth of details and interesting facts, and patiently and warmly answered all our questions. At no point did we feel like we were simply following a scripted tour, but rather having a genuine conversation about the city's history. The four hours flew by. A highly recommended experience, especially if you enjoy learning not only about the monuments but also the stories behind them.
