It was fantastic, yer man the Canadian guy, can’t remember his name sadly, was so great and was able to answer any questions I had. Even though the weather was very foggy it was still fantastic!

Let me be clear : are you gonna spend a lot of time on a bus : yes. Is it worth it : absolutely ! The landscapes are stunning, the monasteries are breathtaking. Our guide Eva provided us a lot of information (if you don't speak English very well, don't worry, she speaks slowly enough and there are audioguides as well) and she was very helpful with the photos and everything (from your toilet breaks to the finding of a ATM if necessary). Also, you do spend a lot of time on the bus but you have plenty of breaks (for photos but also to go to the toilet and eat and drink). And the drivers drive smoothly enough, so that the transport is not too bad. I definitely recommend it ! For me the only thing that could have been better was if the departure time had been a little earlier (that might not be everyone's opinion though).

We took a bus to Medeola, a journey of about four hours, with a rest stop along the way. Lunch was served upon arrival in town (if you chose this option). The lunch was very substantial, including a salad and a main course (optional). After lunch, we began our tour. Our guide, Riki, was very attentive and friendly, helping everyone take photos and pointing out which views were best for pictures. Even though we encountered heavy fog, Riki still came up with an alternative plan: visiting another monastery. It was truly a very enriching trip.
