We lived the Mindo Ziplines tour! The staff and guides were wonderful. Although it was a little hard to find, we had a wonderful experience. I’d definitely recommend it.★

On an open fire, it’s your turn to make chocolate cocoa from scratch like they did hundreds of years ago. It tastes so much better when you take the time to roast the cocoa beans, strip the shell, crush it into a paste, and then mix in a hot pot★

We had a magical day in Mindo, seeing hummingbirds, butterflies, doing the waterfall trek and a tour of a chocolate farm. Alejandro was absolutely brilliant, the best tour guide I had in Ecuador - informative, helpful, lovely and chatty. He helped us understand mindo and we learnt a lot about Ecuador too. He also helped us to spot Toucans! Great experience.★

This experience was marvelous from beginning to end! Pato was born and raised in Quito and is a wealth of knowledge. He was also SUPER accommodating to our group. We had a group member who was really interested in fungus, one who was not fond of cable cars, another who broke their ankle early this year, and some and some members who were really interested in birding. Pato worked our day around these things. Makes sure to let him know what you’re interested in!
We stopped at a mushroom museum, butterfly experience, two spots for birding, a lovely lunch spot that was great for birding, and did a chocolate tasting! He answered all our questions about the region and more! One of our group members really wanted to see a tucán and he di everything in his power to try to make it happen.
There is no doubt you’ll have a great time in this trip!★

Our guide for the day was Christian. He was AWESOME! He provided us with so much information about their history, volcanoes, cultures, etc. The zip lining was way more than expected. There were 10 lines and they were so accommodating when I was slow climbing to the next one. The chocolate tour is a must as well. You get to experience so many things from preparing to tasting and even a chocolate mask! And of course the butterfly and hummingbird farms put such a smile on my face. Getting to have them land on you and see them up close was unbelievable. Everyone should try and do this tour and hope you get Christian as your guide!
