Kyoto by the Sea is absolutely gorgeous. A fantastic day trip! It's much cheaper and more convenient than going on your own. It's a bilingual (Chinese and Korean) tour, with about half the passengers being Chinese and half Korean. Our guide, Gu Wenji, was incredibly helpful and patient. Highly recommended!★

This day trip to Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya was a fantastic experience overall! I was so lucky to have our guide, Batu!
Batu is a very humorous and engaging guide. His explanations are relaxed and fun, never boring, and he shared a lot about local Japanese culture, history, and interesting tidbits of knowledge that you wouldn't normally know. This made the trip more than just sightseeing; it was incredibly enriching!
Most notably, Batu sang for everyone on the bus, and his voice is truly beautiful! He's practically a singer whose talent is wasted on being a tour guide 🤣🎤, adding a unique touch to the trip!
Furthermore, the itinerary was perfectly timed, not too rushed, with well-judged stops at each attraction, giving everyone ample time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and have free time.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable and fulfilling day trip! Batu is not only professional and humorous but also very talented, making this trip even more unforgettable!

I originally planned to explore Amanohashidate on my own, taking my time to enjoy the scenery, but considering my husband's recent back and leg problems, we opted for a day tour instead. We boarded in Kyoto, and the tour guide contacted us beforehand via WeChat with the license plate number and phone number. The agreed-upon time was also very punctual. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, providing explanations of the sights along the way. Since there were many Koreans on the bus, she spoke a lot of Korean. The scenery was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. It would have been quite inconvenient to travel to these places on my own, so choosing a day tour with an enthusiastic guide was a great option. I recommend it to everyone!★

Although there were only two of us on today's small group day trip, Ctrip still departed as scheduled, and we enjoyed the privilege of having a private car 😀. Our driver, Mr. Bao, arrived near the hotel twenty minutes early to wait for us. After we got on the bus, he enthusiastically gave us a tour, introducing us to the local customs and history before we arrived at Ine and Amanohashidate. On the return trip, Mr. Bao learned that we wanted to go to Shijo in Kyoto, and he very kindly took us there, making our day in Kyoto wonderful. We are very grateful for Mr. Bao's warm and thoughtful service, and also for the meticulous arrangements made by our housekeeper, Ling'er.★

The meeting point was clearly marked, and the tour was led by Lion Travel Japan. The bus was very comfortable, and you could choose to get off in Kyoto or Osaka on the return trip. Ine Bay offers easy access to the boathouse streets, and the sightseeing boat trip to feed the seagulls was a lot of fun. During the trip, seagulls and eagles would come to eat the shrimp balls, but be careful as the eagles' talons are sharp and could cause injury. Lion Travel's ticket service even included shrimp balls for feeding and tiles to throw, making it excellent value. We took a cable car and chairlift to Kasamatsu Park; the chairlift offered a better view, and there were restaurants there at reasonable prices. From Chion-ji Temple, you could walk to the sandbar beach to enjoy the same panoramic view. The whole trip was very enjoyable. Joining a day tour saved us the hassle of transportation, and Kelly, who led the tour, also recommended many good places to eat and buy. I highly recommend Lion Travel's tours.
