Reviews: Tasting Tour in One of The Most Beautiful Cellars in the World

What a bargain! Our guide was incredibly informative. His English is impeccable, and we learned so much. He was a fun storyteller too. Besides all the info, the three cellars were incredible and the first was designed, he told us, by the architect who designed the Sistine Chapel in Rome. Don’t turn this tour down. It’s great and ends with tastings (along with small Italian bruschetta) of six (or three, your choice) of their amazing Montepulciano wines.★

We enjoyed driving from
San Gimignano and finding this special little place to see a Tuscan pig farm. Roberto was so welcoming and prepared a wonderful home made lunch after a tour of his farm. The setting was perfect. We enjoyed his house wine made from grapes from his vineyard. Definitely a unique experience!★

This was a great experience in learning about the history and process of winemaking in the region. Ettore, our guide was excellent at explaining different soils and grape varieties in how they produce certain vintages. Tastings were excellent, plate of salumi, formaggio e pane went well with the wine. The only thing that would have made it 5 stars, would have been a trip to the vineyard, which they are working on.★
